There was a rather strong recovery into the early afternoon, falling just 4pts shy of fully filling the opening gap. The late afternoon saw some renewed cooling, if holding above the early low.
Volatility remained muted, the VIX printing 25.18, but cooling back to settle -0.7% to 23.93.
