Summary
US equities opened on a weak note, with the SPX leaning lower to print a new lower for the year of 3568. There was a recovery into the afternoon to 3640. The late afternoon saw a rather strong swing lower, as bounces continue to be sold into.
Volatility remained elevated, the VIX printing 34.43, and settling +3.6% to 33.63.
