US equity indexes closed a little weak, SPX -7pts (0.2%) at 3783. Nasdaq comp' -0.2%. Dow -0.1%. The Transports settled -0.5%. R2K -0.7%.

Summary
US equities opened broadly weak, not helped by European markets. However, the cooling wave was arguably just a retrace of the massive Mon/Tues' ramp. The SPX printed 3722 (a tag of orange gap), before recovering upward into the late afternoon to 3808, if cooling back to settle at 3783.
Volatility was subdued, the VIX printing 30.11, but settling -1.8% to 28.55.
