US equity indexes closed on a positive note, SPX +8pts (0.2%) at 4613. Nasdaq comp' +0.6%. Dow +0.3%. The Transports settled +0.2%. R2K +2.6%

Summary
US equities opened a little higher, with the SPX printing a new hist' high of 4620. By default, its already become a net bullish week and month. The Dow, Nasdaq comp', and R2K also broke new historic highs today.
The afternoon saw considerable micro chop. Volatility was itself subdued, the VIX settling +0.9% to 16.41.
