US equity indexes closed very significantly lower, SPX -106pts (2.3%) at 4594. Nasdaq comp' -2.2%. Dow -2.5%. The Transports settled -3.6%. R2K -3.4%.

With news of a new C19 variant, other world markets spiraled into the weekend, with the US naturally following. Indeed, it was not so much a black Friday, as a red one, with price rather powerfully lower into the early close of 1pm EST.
