US equity indexes closed very significantly higher, SPX +64pts (1.6%) at 4045. Nasdaq comp' +2.0%. Dow +1.2%. The Transports settled +0.5%. R2K +1.4%.

Summary
US equities opened broadly higher, and whilst there were a few minor cooling waves, the market built very significant gains. Volatility was naturally ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -5.6% to 18.49.
