Summary
US equities opened on a weak note, and whilst there were numerous bounce attempts, the market kept failing, printing a new cycle low of 3939. The late afternoon saw a minor recovery to settle at 3951.
Volatility was itself subdued, the VIX settling -0.6% to 20.58.
