US equity indexes closed very significantly higher, SPX +73pts (1.9%) at 3972. Nasdaq comp' +2.7%. Dow +1.0%. The Transports settled +1.7%. R2K +1.6%.

Summary
US equities opened a little higher. The gains were shaky, but there was a secondary push upward that stretched into the final minutes. A bullish end... but still a net bearish week.
Volatility was ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -3.3% to 19.85.
