Summary
US equities opened broadly lower, largely pressured by other world markets. The SPX printed a new s/t low of 3885, an afternoon recovery to 3922, but renewed cooling in the closing hour to settle at 3898.
Volatility remained relatively subdued, the VIX printing 21.71, but cooling back to settle +0.9% to 20.52.
