Summary
US equities saw a fair few swings in pre-market, with the latest inflation data...
Equities opened choppy... printing a new cycle high of 3981, but swung lower to 3937. From there... upside into the mid afternoon to 3997, with a little late day cooling to settle +0.3% at 3983.
With the uncertainty of the CPI data out of the way, the VIX was ground lower, settling -10.7% to 18.83.
