Summary
US equities opened on a positive note, but the gains were shaky from the start, and it didn't take long for indexes to turn negative... if only fractionally. The SPX rallied from 3816 to 3847. The late afternoon saw some rather typical cooling to settle at 3830.
Volatility was subdued, the VIX settling -10.4% to 22.91. The black SPX candle is subtly suggestive Thursday will see some broad/significant cooling.
