Summary
US equities opened moderately higher, with the SPX printing yet another new historic high of 3931. There was a significant morning reversal to 3884, but with a recovery into the late afternoon, to settle fractionally lower at 3909. On any basis, with a new historic high, it was just another day for the bulls.
Volatility was mostly subdued, the VIX spiking to 23.85, but settling +1.7% to 21.99
