Summary

US equities opened in minor chop mode, and remained that way into the early afternoon.

Meanwhile...

The CEO of Print Central - Powell, arguing that 'we need to see inflation above 2% for a time'. I'd like to see him tell that in person to the working poor, or the jobless, at any shopping mall of Powell's choice.

It remains ironic that the serfs have no idea what a central bank is, and that there are a group of academics and semi-political hacks, who are actively trying to increase the cost of living.

If only they knew!

The afternoon saw further chop, but there some moderate cooling into the close.

Volatility was mostly subdued, if picking up in late afternoon, the VIX settling +4.7% to 23.25.
