Summary
US equities opened significantly lower, not helped by European markets, or the latest hot PPI data. The SPX cooled to 3721... just 6pts above legacy red gap.
Meanwhile...
Lebenthal is reflective of many of the mainstream cheerleaders and 'smart guys', who continue to struggle in the bear market.
There was a recovery... if choppy into the late afternoon, as the equity bears are tired, unable to manage any sustained downside.
Volatility was relatively subdued, the VIX printing 28.45, and settling -1.6% to 26.40.
