US equity indexes closed very significantly higher, SPX +72pts (1.9%) at 3862. Nasdaq comp' +1.8%. Dow +2.1%. The Transports settled +1.9%. R2K +2.1%.

Summary
US equities opened broadly higher, and built very significant gains into the mid afternoon. The late afternoon saw considerable chop, but that was pretty natural for what was OPEX.
Volatility was naturally ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -8.2% to 24.23.
