Summary
US equities opened broadly lower, saw repeated bounce attempts fail, with the SPX breaking a new multi-year low of 3858. Whilst there was a closing hour ramp, it was in many ways... a typical Thursday.
Volatility remains elevated, the VIX settling -2.4% to 31.77.
