Summary

US equities opened a little choppy, if leaning on the positive side, which was enough for the Nasdaq comp' to break a new hist' high.

The afternoon saw considerable chop, with a little cooling into the close. Volatility was subdued, the VIX settling -2.2% to 16.11. The s/t setup favours the equity bears, not least for a Thursday, but ahead of a long weekend, the bears can't expect much.
