Summary
US equities opened a little choppy, if leaning on the weaker side. All the equity bears could manage was sp'4513, an effective tag of a minor downside gap. From there... a choppy recovery into the early afternoon, with renewed cooling (if very minor) into the close.
Volatility was mixed, the VIX printing 18.39, but cooling back to settle +10.5% to 18.14.
