Summary
US equities opened a little choppy, leaning on the weaker side. The SPX cooled to 4443, but that was all the bears could manage, with the market recovering into the late afternoon to 4485, and settling fractionally lower at 4473.
Volatility was subdued, the VIX settling +2.8% to 18.69.
Considering it was a Thursday, the equity bears remain weak, and simply can't manage anything significant/sustained. There is even less reason to expect any different for quad-opex.
