US equity indexes closed on a positive note, SPX +36pts (0.8%) at 4423. Nasdaq comp' +0.5%. Dow +0.8%. The Transports settled +1.5%.

Summary
US equities opened a little higher, but much like Monday, the gains were shaky, with indexes turning red. Unlike yesterday though, the market did re-build gains, clawing back upward into the late afternoon.
Volatility saw a morning high of 20.44, but the VIX cooled back to settle -7.3% to 18.04.
So long as the recent hist' high of sp'4429 remains intact, the market is short term vulnerable.
