US equities opened moderately higher, but the gains were shaky from the start, with the SPX cooling back, and turning fractionally lower.
Meanwhile...
I fully recognise most of you don't want to see the underbelly of any nation, not least the USA. The streets of Philly sure aren't pretty, and gods know what creatures appear once the sun sets. Whatever difficulties you face, you really ought to be thankful you're not in this video.

The afternoon saw further chop, if leaning on the weaker side, as the s/t setup favours the bears.
Volatility was subdued, the VIX settling +6.7% to 19.46.
