Summary
US equities opened on a positive note, but the gains were shaky, as early as pre-market. The SPX printed an early high of 5986, but saw increasingly bearish price action into the late afternoon, printing 5810, and settling at 5849.
Volatility was mixed, the VIX printing an early low of 19.25, but spiking to 24.31, and settling +16.0% to 22.78.
