Summary
US equities opened broadly lower, with the SPX falling to 5732... just 7pts above the 200dma. From there... a bounce into the afternoon. The closing hour saw the SPX turning fractionally positive to 5865, but then a significant cooling wave to settle at 5778.
Volatility was very mixed, the VIX printing 26.35, but cooling to 21.74, and settling +3.2% to 23.51.
