Summary
US equities opened moderately higher, but the gains were shaky from the start, with indexes turning fractionally negative. From there... considerable micro chop into the late afternoon.
Volatility remained subdued, the VIX printing a new cycle low of 16.58, and settling -0.7% at 16.83.
