US equity indexes closed very significantly higher, SPX +72pts (1.7%) at 4280. Nasdaq comp' +2.1%. Dow +1.3%. The Transports settled +0.5%. R2K +2.0%.

Summary
US equities opened on a positive note, helped by other world markets.
The afternoon saw a secondary push upward, which made for the sixth net weekly gain of eight. On any basis, its been an impressive run from the June low of 3636. There are multiple aspects of resistance in the 4300s.
Volatility was ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -3.3% to 19.53.
