US equities saw pre-market moderate gains fade to minor declines, as the PPI data wasn't pretty.

The market opened a little choppy... briefly red (as yesterday's bearish engulfing candle played out), but reversed, and clawed upward into the late afternoon.
Volatility was ground lower, the VIX settling -10.1% to 21.82.
