Summary
US equities opened broadly flat, but the SPX leaned weak, and spiraled to 5406. There was an effective floor from around typical turn time of 11am, with the SPX recovering all the way to build significant gains to 5560, and settling at 5554.
Volatility was very mixed, the VIX spiking to 21.41, but cooling back to settle -7.3% to 17.69.
