Summary
In pre-market, the SPX was -25pts, but it only opened -10pts, as the bears remain largely powerless. The SPX clawed back upward, settling moderately higher at 5509, just 14pts below last Friday's hist' high.
Volatility remained subdued, the VIX settling -1.5% to 12.03.
