Summary

Tuesday AH saw Fitch downgrade US debt. Overnight futures were lower by around -1.0%, with the market opening broadly weak. The SPX leaned downward across the day, printing 4505, and settling at 4513.

Volatility spiked, the VIX printing 16.48, and settling +15.5% to 16.09.

Most notable today was the US 10yr yield breaking above 4.10%, with the US long bond ETF of TLT unable to hold the key $97.00s. Both breaks merit alarm bells, and suggestive of sp'4440/4400 within 'days'.
