US equity indexes closed significantly lower, SPX -51pts (1.2%) at 4437. Nasdaq comp' -1.1%. Dow -1.0%. The Transports settled -1.8%. R2K -1.3%

Summary
US equities opened moderately lower, not helped by a wheel barrow of news, not least from Communist China. The most notable aspect was that the CCP has decided that because youth unemployed data is horrific, they'll no longer report it.
The SPX cooled to 4432, and settling -1.2% to 4437.
Volatility picked up, the VIX printing 16.57, and settling +11.1% to 16.46.
