Summary
US equities opened a little higher, but sp'4744 was all the bulls could manage, before the market started to cool back. The lunchtime hour saw a distinct spiral, lead by the Nasdaq. The afternoon saw broad weakness... ending on a pretty ugly note, if with the Transports managing minor net gains.
Volatility picked up, the VIX settling +15.3% to 20.31.
