Tweet filled Monday

US equity indexes closed very significantly higher, sp +60pts (1.8%) at 3408. Nasdaq comp' +2.3%. Dow +1.7%. The Transports settled +1.6%.

The week began in pre-market, within a truck load of other tweets, there was a notable trio of market/economic related tweets from the US President...


 


Another tax cut huh? The headline US national debt just crossed >$27trn, but hey... Print Central will cover the loss in revenue, right?

US equities opened on a moderately positive note, and battled upward into the late afternoon, further helped by...

... as the US President inspired a new intraday high of 3409.

Volatility was itself subdued, the VIX settling +1.2% to 27.96. The s/t setup favours the equity bulls, at least for part of Tuesday.
