US equity indexes closed somewhat mixed, SPX +15pts (0.25%) at 6090. Nasdaq comp' +0.8%. Dow -0.3%. The Transports settled -0.6%. R2K +0.4%

Summary
US equities opened in minor chop mode, but once again... the SPX leaned upward to print a new hist' high of 6099. From there... a little cooling to settle at 6090.
Volatility was ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -5.7% to 12.77.
