Summary
US equities opened a little higher, but the gains were shaky from the start, the SPX cooling from 5176 to 5138. From there... a rather significant latter day recovery to 5211, and settling at 5199.
Volatility was mixed, the VIX printing 16.71, but cooling back to settle -5.6% to 14.91.
