Summary
US equities opened broadly lower, with the market especially annoyed by higher bond yields. The SPX printed 4337, before a sharp rebound to print a new cycle high of 4393. From there, renewed cooling to 4355, with a late day rebound to settle effectively flat at 4373.
The VIX printed an early high of 18.54, cooled to 16.97, battled back upward to 18.32, and settling +3.9% to 17.88.
