SPX - daily

VIX - daily

Summary

US equities opened moderately lower, but all the bears could manage was sp'4283, before a significant upward into the mid afternoon. The SPX printed 4341, if cooling back to settled at 4335.

Volatility was mixed, the VIX printing a (cash market) high of 18.92, but cooling back to settle +1.4% to 17.70.

Today's price action was reflective of a market that cares little about the weekend 'event'. The fact is... EPS/Rev' doesn't need to be adjusted for such things. Defensive stocks caught a bid on 'war is good for business', with energy stocks powering higher with oil $87s.
