Summary
US equities opened a little higher, helped by earnings from the financials. The SPX broke a new cycle high of 4527. From there... choppy cooling into the late afternoon to 4499, settling fractionally lower at 4505.
Volatility was ground lower into the weekend, the VIX settling -2.0% to 13.34.
