Summary
US equities opened on a positive note, but it only took a few minutes for indexes to turn negative. The SPX broke a new cycle low of 3886, before spiking upward to 3942. The afternoon saw considerable minor chop... if mostly leaning on the weaker side.
Volatility was picked up a little, the VIX printing 27.80, and settling +5.6% to 26.91.
