US equities opened on a positive note, but the gains were shaky, with the Nasdaq turning red.
The SPX printed 3368 in late morning, but the afternoon saw another swing lower, with the SPX unable to hold the 3329s, and printing 3310. The closing hour saw further chop, leaning on the somewhat positive side, to effectively settle flat.
Volatility cooled into the weekend, the VIX settling -9.6% to 26.87, as the mainstream were indeed comfortable into the weekend.
