US equity indexes closed on a weak note, SPX -29pts (0.6%) at 5022. Nasdaq comp' -1.1%. Dow -0.1%. The Transports settled -1.7%. R2K -1.1%

Summary

US equities opened moderately higher, but once again... for the fifth time in ten days, equities saw a rather ugly downside reversal. The SPX broke a new cycle low of 5007, an effective test of giant psy' 5K. From mid afternoon.. a vain bounce attempt, settling at 5022.

Volatility remained elevated, the VIX 19.11, if cooling back to settle -1.0% to 18.21.

US equity indexes mostly closed a little weak, SPX -10pts (0.2%) at 5051. Nasdaq comp' -0.1%. Dow +0.2%. The Transports settled -0.9%. R2K -0.3%

Summary

US equities opened a little choppy, as pre-market moderate gains failed to hold. The SPX leaned weak, printing a new cycle low of 5039, and settling at 5051. Volatility remained elevated, the VIX printing 19.45, if cooling back to settle -4.3% to 18.40.

Ugly downside reversal

US equity indexes closed significantly lower, SPX -61pts (1.2%) at 5061. Nasdaq comp' -1.8%. Dow -0.6%. The Transports settled -0.7%. R2K -1.4%

Summary

US equities opened broadly higher, but the gains didn't last long. The SPX swung from 5168 to 5052, and settling at 5061. For the bulls, it was another ugly downside reversal, the fourth of the last eight trading days.

WTIC will be prone to hyper spiking

Volatility was mixed, the VIX seeing an early low of 16.26, but spiking upward to 19.46, and settling +11.1% to 19.23.
