Weekend update - World equity markets

It was a mixed month for world equity markets, with net monthly changes ranging from -6.6% (South Africa), -5.8% (India), -4.3% (USA), -4.0% (Germany), -3.6% (China), -3.3% (Australia), +0.3% (South Korea), +0.7% (Japan), +3.9% (Russia), to +5.3% (Brazil).

Lets take our regular look at ten of the world equity markets.

USA - Dow

Germany – DAX

Japan – Nikkei

Brazil – Bovespa

Russia - MOEX

India – SENSEX

China – Shanghai comp'

South Africa – Dow

South Korea - Kospi

Australia – AORD

Summary

Six world equity markets were net lower for September, with four net higher.

South Africa was very powerfully lower, whilst Brazil was powerfully higher.

The USA, Germany, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, and Australian markets are trading above their respective 10MA, and have positive monthly momentum.
