US equities opened a little higher, which was more than enough for the SPX to print a new historic high of 6187. There was some cooling into the mid afternoon to 6132, if bouncing to settle moderately higher at 6173.
Volatility was ground lower for a fifth day, the VIX settling -1.6% to 16.32.
