We're living in a WandaVision economy

US equity indexes closed broadly lower, SPX -58pts (1.5%) at 3915. Nasdaq comp' -3.0%. Dow -0.5%. The Transports settled -0.1%.

Summary

US equities opened on a weak note, pressured via higher bond yields, with the SPX cooling to 3935, before recovering to 3969 in late morning.

The afternoon saw a very significant wave lower to 3910, settling on a somewhat ugly note at 3915, ahead of Friday OPEX.

Volatility picked up, the VIX settling +12.2% to 21.58.
