US equities opened broadly flat, but the SPX did lean upward to 6101. There was a distinct reversal from an upper channel trend, with steady downside to 6019, and settling at 6025.

Volatility was mixed, the VIX printing an early low of 14.79, printing 16.66, and settling +6.7% to 16.54.
