Summary
US equities opened in minor chop mode, but battled upward to print a new hist' high of 5048. From there... cooling into the late afternoon, settling fractionally lower at 5021. Volatility picked up a little, the VIX settling +7.7% to 13.93, but much of today's gain was technical due to the new week.
