US equity indexes closed very mixed, SPX +3pts (0.1%) at 4372. Nasdaq comp' +0.4%. Dow -0.7%. The Transports settled +1.3%. R2K -1.0%

Summary
US equities opened broadly flat, but the SPX did battle upward to print yet another new multi-month high of 4391. From there... gradual cooling into the 2pm press release.
As expected, the Fed did nothing. Further, I still expect a hike July 26th.

There was a break lower... but all the bears could manage was 4337, before a rebound to settle fractionally higher at 4372.
Volatility was a little mixed, the VIX printing 14.73, but cooling back to settle -5.0% to 13.88.
