Summary
Whilst many (not least the UK and European) markets were closed, the US market still opened. Equities saw minor chop... if leaning positive, the SPX printing a new multi-week high of 4186, if cooling back to settle at 4167.
Volatility was subdued, the VIX printing a new cycle low of 15.53, and settling +1.9% to 16.08.
