A dark winter is ahead, and I wonder how many of those currently on the streets of Philadelphia will make it to spring 2022. Few care... least of all, those on Capitol Hill.

The afternoon saw considerable chop, printing 4369, but leaning a little weak into the close, and settling at 4345. Volatility was ground lower, the VIX settling -7.2% to 21.30.
