Summary
US equities opened moderately, although the gains were very shaky, with most indexes turning marginally and briefly red. The SPX swung from an initial low of 5164 to 5312, and seeing some significant late day cooling to settle at 5240.
Volatility was crushed lower, the VIX printing 24.02, if leaning upward to settle -28.2% to 27.71.
