Summary
Lets be clear about one thing... it was more of a grey Monday, than black. Yes, equities opened powerfully lower, the biggest gap down in years (March 2020?), but the early drop didn't merit the C word... crash.
The SPX saw an early low of 5112... filling minor red gap, and spiking from 10pts within upper end of orange gap. There was a choppy recovery into the afternoon, printing 5250, and settling at 5186.
The VIX saw a pre-market high of 65.73, opened at 55.68, cooled to 30.92, and settle +64.9% to 38.57.
